Sadia Rahmani

Sadia is the first in her family to attend university and recently graduated with a degree in Biomedical Science from Ryerson University. After getting involved in biochemistry research and extracurricular activities like the Tri-Mentoring Program, Sadia discovered she enjoys learning and teaching and decided to pursue graduate studies in Molecular Science at Ryerson University.

Dr. Warren Wakarchuk

Dr. Wakarchuk is a glycoscientist with an interest in how biology works! 
With regards to his career, he says, "I always knew I wanted to be scientist, but I never knew what it would take until I started working on PhD.  I got my PhD way back in 1987, and still learn new things everyday!

Farah Choudhary

Masters Student,
Wakarchuk Lab

Farah has worked at the Wakarchuk lab to optimize a way to attach polysialic acid to the surface of human cells using bacterial enzymes that have been genetically modified to enhance their activity. Her project was part of a larger effort to improve neuronal stem cell integration into sites of the brain damaged by Parkinson's Disease. She graduated from Ryerson University with a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science, and is now working toward her Master of Teaching at the University of Toronto.
